The Youth Health Forum is a network of over a hundred young leaders from across Australia who work together to determine and champion youth perspectives on the current health system.
We are a diverse group of young people and not health policy experts, but experience matters. Youth Health Forum members are aged 18 — 30 and use the health and social care system or represent people who do. Our views highlight key areas that will help shape the health of Australians in the future.
Masterclasses for young health consumer advocates
The Youth Health Forum hosted a series of online educational masterclasses for young health consumers.
Delivered by experts and co-designed by experienced young health consumers, these masterclasses will take you through the skills and knowledge they wish they had known when they had first stepped up as young consumer advocates.
Each masterclass incorporates a series of support tools and resources, including a recording of each session which you can now access at any time.
Imagine getting access to Australia’s leaders and making a real difference!
In this video, we discuss Australian Government’s new Australian Youth Council. Applications have now closed, however our free webinar will help give you the skills and confidence to apply for other advocacy positions, so you can amplify your voice and change the world for the better.
This is your opportunity to write and polish your application skills and hear first-hand from the Minister for Youth, Dr Anne Aly.
Speakers:
- The Hon Dr Anne Aly MP, Minister for Youth, Australian Government
- Dr Elizabeth Deveny, CEO, CHF
- Roxx MacDonald, CHF board member and leading youth advocate
